Four Arrested Over Cash-In-Transit Robbery
Three men and a woman have been arrested in connection with the robbery of a cash-in-transit van in Dublin in February.
The four, all aged in their 20s, were detained this morning and will be questioned about the incident which occurred on at St Mary’s Place in Dublin 7 on the morning of February 1st.
A significant quantity of cash was stolen during the robbery.
The cash-in-transit van was had stopped at traffic lights when a silver car pulled up next to it and two men in balaclavas got out and smashed one of the van’s windows using a hammer.
The driver of the van and the two men became involved in a struggle and a sum of money was taken before the culprits escaped the scene.
The suspects are being held at the Bridewell, Pearse Street, Raheny and Mountjoy Garda stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

An investigation has been launched following the robbery of a cash-in-transit van on Monday morning at Blakestown in west Dublin. The incident occurred shortly before 8am when two men approached the van armed with an iron bar and what is believed to be an imitation firearm and threatened a member of staff.

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man in connection with a cash-in-transit van robbery early on Friday morning. It is understood that a number of armed men held up the van at about 07:40am on Cork Street in Dublin, making off with a sum of money.

Gardaí have foiled an attempted cash-in-transit van robbery in Clondalkin, west Dublin. According to garda at around 11:20am two men approached a guard from the van as he made a delivery at the Bawnogue Shopping Centre, threatening him with a firearm.

Jail Time For Brothers In Cash-In-Transit Conspiracy
Two brothers who admitted conspiracy to steal from a cash-in-transit van will face jail time, the presiding judge has said. 39-year-old Alan Bradley and his 33-year-old brother Wayne were part of a six-man gang arrested at Tesco's in Celbridge in Co Kildare in November 2007.
