60% Vote 'Yes' Halfway Through Count

Results in the EU Fiscal Treaty referendum are flowing in, and 22 constituencies have declared the 'Yes' vote.

The vote stood at 60% in favour, however a full declaration is expected later this afternoon.

In Tipperary Suth, 60.65% declared Yes.

In Donegal South West, just under 55% voted against the treaty, and Donegal North East and Dublin South West also voted No.

That result will disappoint the Coalition's two ministers - Pat Rabbitte and Brian Hayes - in Dublin South West.

In contrast, the highest yes vote in the country is likely to come from Dun Laoghaire this afternoon, which has backed the treaty with a 74.2% yes vote.
