Wallace Leaves Car Illegally Parked In Aer Lingus Staff Car Park

Embattled Independent TD Mick Wallace now faces another bill of €140 after his four-wheel drive BMW was towed from the Aer Lingus staff car park.

Mr Wallace, spotted in the departure lounge of Dublin Airport last Friday, left his BMW illegally parked in the Aer Lingus staff car park.

The airline confirmed that it had been told about its presence and had taken action at 3pm last Saturday.

"Like all unauthorised vehicles, it was removed," a spokeswoman said.

The car park is leased from the Dublin Airport Authority, which has a contract in place with a company to tow unauthorised vehicles.

According to its airport charges booklet, the fee for a car being towed is €140 and there are fees of €35 for each day a vehicle is kept in storage.

Aer Lingus could not confirm if it was going to investigate how Mr Wallace's BMW ended up in the staff car park.
