€120,000 Worth Of Cannabis Seized In Cork
Gardai in Cork have seized six kilos of cannabis, a haul with an estimated street value of €120,000.
Officers from Togher, working in conjunction with Cork West Drug Unit, discovered the drugs when they stopped and searched a car at Pouladuff Road, Cork at approximately 4pm yesterday.
A 40-year-old man was arrested and detained at Togher Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
Pending a file being submitted to the DPP, he has been released without charge.

New Powers Allow For Roadside Drug Testing
The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Shane Ross has announced the commencement of the drug driving provisions in the Road Traffic Act 2016. One of the key measures in the legislation provides for Preliminary Drug Testing, which will enable Gardaí to test motorists whom they suspect of driving under the influence of drugs at the roadside.

Gardaí Arrest 45 In Major Drugs Operation
A total of 45 people have been arrested in the past 48 hours in Gardaí a crackdown on the sale and supply of heroin and “crack” cocaine in the Dublin region. The operation, which involved Garda drug units from Kevin Street, Pearse Street and Store Street stations, resulted in 150 charges being brought, according to Gardaí this morning.

Appeal Issued For Missing Cork Woman
Gardaí in Cork have appealed for help in tracing 32-year-old Kelly Leslie, who is missing from her home in Cork. Ms Kelly was last seen on Wednesday morning at Maryborough Hill in Togher. It is believed that she is driving a gold coloured Opel Astra 08 D. Kelly is described being 5'3'' in height with receding brown hair.
