4-Year-Old Boy Dies In Swimming Accident
A 4-year-old boy has died following an incident at the National Aquatic Centre in Abbotstown, Co Dublin yesterday.
The boy was swimming with his father in the Aqua Zone section at about 6.30 pm yesterday evening when the accident happened, details of which have not been released.
The boy was attended to at the scene before being transferred to Connolly hospital in Blanchardstown where he was later pronounced dead.
An investigation into the accident has begun and in a statement the centre said that the Aqua Zone section, which features children's play areas, a wave pool and slides, remains closed until further notice.

Missing Five-Year-Old Boy Found 'Safe And Well'
A young boy missing from Dun Laoghaire has been found "safe and well", Gardaí have reported. Richard Roche, aged 5, went missing from the People's Park on Sunday, 02 July. However, he has now been found and Gardaí wish to express their thanks to all members of the public and media for their assistance.

Gardaí in Co Westmeath are appealing to witnesses of a fatal road accident on the Athlone bypass on Sunday afternoon. A five-month-old baby boy died after the car he was travelling in veered off the road onto the hard shoulder and collided with the crash barrier. A three-year-old girl was also injured in the collision.
