17-Year-Old Killed In Early Morning Car Crash
A teenager was killed, and four others hurt in a single vehicle crash this monring in Co Roscommon.
A 17-year-old, a passenger in the car, was killed when the car hit a ditch on the Frenchpark to Boyle road around 1.20am on Monday morning.
Four other teens who were in the car at the time received minor injuries.
The incident is being investigated by gardaí in Boyle and the road was closed pending the completion of an examination.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Boyle Garda Station on 071-9664620, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666111 or any garda station.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to an incident at Kiltake, Co Meath on Thursday, 15 September. At approximately 11.30am yesterday, officers with Operation Thor were on patrol in the Kiltale area when they observed a "target vehicle", a silver VW Golf with four males in the forecourt of a service station.

Man Dies In Shooting Incident
A 21-year-old man who was shot in Bunratty, Co Clare, died yesterday in hospital. Two men are still being questioned over the attack at the Bunratty Castle Hotel car park, and are being detained at Mayfield and Gurranabraher Garda Stations.

Woman Killed In Road Traffic Accident
A woman has been killed in a road traffic crash at Reas Cross on the Castletownroche to Mallow Road at around 10.10am this morning. The collision involved a car and a truck. A 9-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the car, was uninjured. The male driver of the truck was also uninjured.

A man has been arrested after reportedly attempting to attack firefighters with a sword in Dundalk, Co. Louth. It is understood that the attack happened in Marion Road as firefighters attempted to put out a fire in a car around 1.50am on Friday.

Woman Killed in Sligo Crash
A female pedestrian has been killed in a road crash in Co Sligo. The incident happened at Corballa, near the village of Enniscrone, around 5pm on Wednesday. The 48-year-old died after being struck by a car. The incident is being investigated by gardaí from Easkey Garda station.
