Three Men Arrested In Connection With Metal Theft
Three men have been arrested in connection with the theft of metal from premises on St John's Street, Ardee, on Wednesday.
Gardai recovered the metal after stopping and searching a van, after the incident was reported.
The men, aged 17,20 and 21 have been detained under the provisions of section 4of the Criminal Justice Act.
Two men, who were also charged in connection with the theft, are due to appear in Ardee District Court on 10th September.

Metal Theft Campaign Launched By Gardaí
A new campaign to tackle metal theft has been launched by An Garda Síochána in conjunction with Crimestoppers and ESB Networks. The new campaign continues the work of the Metal Theft Forum, which was established in 2012 to develop a metal theft prevention and crime reduction plan.

Two Further Men Arrested In Connection With Kevin Lunney Investigation
Two men have been arrested by gardaí investigating the abduction of Kevin Lunney on 17 September 2019. A male, aged 25 years, has been arrested in the Dublin Region for an offence contrary to Section 73 Criminal Justice Act 2006 and is being detained under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Irishtown Garda station.
