Fianna Fáil TD Won't Pay Septic Tank Charge
A Fianna Fáil TD has refused to pay the septic tank charge.
Only 30,000 of the country's 500,000 septic tank and other waste treatment owners have registered their tanks.
Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Agriculture, Eamon O'Cuiv, said that he hasn't paid the charge because it is a fundamental issue in terms of equality.
The charge is part of the scheme introduced ahead of inspections, which could see householders forced to upgrade their systems.
