Aviation Authority Finds Ryanair Planes Had 'Sufficient Fuel'
An Irish Aviation Authority investigation into three Ryanair planes that declared emergencies after running short of fuel when bad weather in Madrid forced diversions to Valencia, found that all the aircraft had set off with sufficient kerosene.
The three aircraft had fuel in excess of flight-plan requirements on departure for Madrid, though by the time they were diverted their tanks held close to the minimum, presenting "challenges for the crew," the IAA said in a report which Ryanair forwarded in a press release.
Ryanair has said that it will review its fuel policy and consider issuing pilots with special guidance for operations to busy airports in poor weather conditions when diversions are likely, the IAA added.

Delays At Airport After Planes Clip On Runway
Minor delays were caused at Dublin Airport this morning after two Ryanair flights clipped each other while taxing to a runway. According to witnesses one plane lost a small section of its wing when it clipped another plane. No one was injured in the incident and the airport quickly returned to normal.

Ryanair Fares To Stay Low Despite Soaring Fuel Costs
Ryanair is planning to ground up to 10% of his fleet this winter in a move to counter crippling airport charges. While the Irish budget airline saw full year after-tax net profits rise by 10% - other reports have cited 20% - to £381 million, the doubling of landing and handling charges by operator BAA still requires the carrier to cut costs.

Ryanair Oppose North's Airport Extension Inquiry
The Green Party in the North are pushing for MLAs at Stormont to vote in favour of a public inquiry into controversial proposals to extend the runway at the George Best Belfast City Airport. The politicians are to debate the issue on Tuesday when the debate reaches the Assembly floor in a move sponsored by the Green Party.
