138 Abuse Charges To Be Brought Against Former Christian Brother
The case against a former Christian Brother who is facing more than 100 charges of indecently assaulting young boys in Limerick has been further adjourned to allow for the completion of a book of evidence.
70-year-old Seamus Treacy is charged with 138 counts of indecent assault on 13 boys at the Sexton Street CBS primary school and at St Enda’s swimming pool, Roxboro, Limerick, on dates between 1978 and 1981.
At his appearance before Limerick District Court on Wednesday
Sgt Donal Cronin sought a further adjournment to allow for the completion of a book of evidence.
Judge Eugene O’Kelly said the age of the charges added to the complexity of the investigation and the number of charges required more administrative effort.
He adjourned the case to 28 November.
