Burnt Out Car Matches That Of Missing Irish Woman
Police in Wales searching for a missing Offaly vet have cordoned off a burned-out car found close to her home.
37-year-old Catherine Gowing has been missing since Monday when she failed to arrive at work at the Evans Veterinary Practice in Mold, north Wales.
Police said today that they are carrying out forensic examinations on a five-door Renault Clio, matching the description of Ms Gowing’s vehicle, which was found torched.
A 46-year-old man from Gwynedd remains in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of her murder on Tuesday night.
On Thursday police were granted a further 36 hours to question the as yet unidentified man.

Missing Galway Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Gardaí in Galway have reported that John Moyles has been found "safe and well". The 23-year-old, from the Rahoon area of Galway, was reported missing on Sunday. It is understood that he was found in the Dublin area. Garda have thanked the public for their help.

Gardaí Appeal For Missing Man Greg Ward
Gardaí are appealing for help in tracing missing Dublin man Greg Ward. Mr Ward, 31, was last seen in Blanchardstown on Sunday 3 May. He is described as being 6'2" in height and has a vast amount of tattoos and piercings over his body. Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

PSNI Cuts Uproar
An already financially beleaguered police service is facing fresh cutbacks. As a result, the Northern Ireland Policing Board is to challenge the Government over proposed £17m cuts in the police service budget. Members are expected to hold a crunch meeting with the NIO Security Minister, it has been announced.
