NAMA Describes Bankrupt Developers Appeal As 'Completely Unmeritorious'
Lawyers for the National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) have described an appeal by bankrupt developer Tom McFeely as "completely unmeritorious".
McFeely was appealing against the repossession of his home in Dublin.
The case is to be heard in 3 weeks/
McFelly's house on Ailesbury Road in Ballsbridge was repossessed on 10th August on behalf of NAMA following default on a €9.5 million mortgage.
Last week McFeely told the curt his family were living on the side of the road and his appeal was urgent.
The lawyers that were representing him today will not attend the for the hour long hearing on 19th November.
Counsel for NAMA Robert Fitzpatrick said the appeal could be dealt with by any barrister.

The wife of bankrupt developer Tom McFeely has been given seven weeks by the Dublin Circuit Civil Court to find alternative accommodation following possession of their Dublin 4 home being granted to NAMA. Judge Jacqueline Linnane said she would grant a stay on the order for possession until 1 August.

Revelations that a senior executive at NAMA was able to purchase a property from the agency's portfolio which was not put up for sale on the open market should be referred to the Gardai to investigate further under the NAMA Act 2009, according to Fianna Fáil Finance Spokesperson Michael McGrath.
