Man Arrested For Bank Robbery
A man has been arrested this morning in relation to a bank robbery in Rathfarnham Shopping Centre on 11th October.
The incident occurred at 2.10pm when a lone raider armed with a shotgun, entered the Bank of Ireland, threatened staff and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
He left across Butterfield Avenue in the direction of Marion Road.
The man, in his mid 20s, is currently being detained at Rathfarnham Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.

A man in his 30s is due to appear before a sitting of Tallaght District Court this morning charged in relation to a bank robbery at Rathfarnham Shopping Centre on Tuesday. Around noon, a lone gunman entered the Bank branch and demanded money from the cashier.

Gardaí Appeal For Information Over Crashes
After two fatal road collisions in Wicklow and Dublin, Gardaí have launched appeals seeking information in connection with the incidents. Officers at Rathfarnham Garda station want witnesses to an incident on Ballycullen Drive, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16, which occurred between 1.30am and 2.30am in the early hours of Thursday morning to contact them.

Three Arrested Over Cash Van Robbery
Three people have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery of a cash-in-transit van near Rathfarnham Shopping Centre in Dublin this afternoon. A cash box containing an undisclosed sum of money was taken during the robbery. A man armed with a gun approached a van on Butterfield Avenue, Rathfarnham, at 12.45pm and demanded the money.

Arrested Follows Limerick Bank Robbery
A man has been arrested following a bank robbery in Kilmallock, Co. Limerick on Monday morning. Three males wearing florescent jackets entered the Bank of Ireland branch on Lord Edward Street in Kilmallock at around 11.10am, threatening staff using an as yet unknown implement. Gardaí identified the weapon, but do not believe it to be a firearm.
