Post Mortem Due After Human Remains Find

A post mortem examination is being carried out today on the human remains found in Wales during the search for missing Irish woman Catherine Gowing.

The vet from Clonlee disappeared on 12th October.

A 46-year-old man has been charged with her murder.

Suspected Human Remains Discovered In Dublin
Suspected human remains have been found near St James's Hospital in Dublin. The discovery was made on Wednesday at around 3pm. It is not known if the remains are human, animal or historic, according to Gardai. The scene has been preserved and a forensic anthropologist is to examine the remains today, 05 May.

Police Find Human Remains In Catherine Gowing Search
A body has been recovered following the search for Irish vet Catherine Gowing. Ms Gowing, 37, originally from Clonlee in Co Offaly, was last seen on Friday 12th October at a supermarket close to her home in New Brighton, north Wales.

Catherine Gowing's Remains Identified
As a result of a post mortem carried out on Thursday 1st November on human remains found in the Manor Road area of Sealand on Wednesday October 31, North Wales Police have confirmed that they have now been positively identified as being Catherine Gowing's. The coroner for North East Wales, Mr John Gittins, has been notified of these results.

Bones Found During Work At Trinity College
Archaeologists have been called in to investigate bones discovered by workers outside Trinity College on College Green on Wednesday afternoon. The discovery was made during Luas works outside the college and some 1.5m underground. It is understood that the bones are thought to be historic human remains.

Human Remains Found At Recycling Plant Confirmed As Male
Human remains found at a recycling plant in Dublin belonged to a man, Gardaí have confirmed. Staff at the Thornton's recycling centre on Killeen Road, Ballyfermot, found the lower part of a human leg on Friday and called gardaí. The upper part of a leg was then found on Saturday.
