Woman Shot In Leg In Cork

A woman is recovering in hospital after she was shot in the leg in Cork yesterday evening.

An altercation occurred on the Kilmore Road in Knocknaheeny at around 6.30pm.

The woman, in her 20s, has been transferred to Cork University Hospital, however her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A pellet gun was found during a house search on the Kilmore Road.

Man Leaves Scene Of Fatal Accident
A man has been arrested after fleeing from the scene of a fatal accident on County Cork in the early hours of this morning. Two men in their 20s were killed in a head on collision of two vehicles at approximately 2.45am this morning on the N25 at Caherulton, Castlemartyr, County Cork.

Man Attacked In East Cork
Gardaí are appealing for information after a man in his 40s was attacked in east Cork on Tuesday. The victim was assaulted at Meat Shambles Lane in Youhal at around 3pm. He is currently being treated at Cork University Hospital, however his injures are not believed to be life-threatening. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Manhunt After Two Stabbed In Cork
Gardaí have launched a manhunt after two people were stabbed at Cork University Hospital. According to reports, it is thought the two men got into a fight with a third man on the ground of the hospital earlier today (23 October). The victims are receiving treatment at the scene, but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
