60-Year-Old Detained After Discovery of 30kg Of Cannabis
A man is being held by gardaí in Co Wexford following the seizure of drugs worth an estimated €500,000.
The drugs, some 30kg of cannabis, was discovered at Rosslare Europort on Sunday.
A Revenue spokeswoman said the drugs had been concealed in the tyres of a vehicle, which was part of a container-load arriving on a ferry from France.
“The drugs were discovered following a scan of the container by Revenue's mobile scanner,” she said.
The discovery lead to the arrest of a man in his 60s at the scene. He is being detained at Wexford Garda station.

Three Arrested Following Drugs Find
A couple from Cork and an Irishman have been arrested in Spain after €6 million of cannabis was discovered on board an Irish yacht. Approximately 500kg of the drug was discovered on board the vessel by Spanish authorities. It is believed to have been travelling from Morocco. Gardai are liaising with Spanish police in relation to the three suspects.

Cocaine And Cannabis Seized In Co Kildare
Cocaine and cannabis herb worth an estimated €34,000 has been seized in Moone, Co Kildare. As part of a planned search of a premises at Lower Belan, garda uncovered €14,000 worth of cocaine and €20,000 worth of cannabis, shortly before midnight on Sunday, 12 June.

Arrests Made After €400,000 Cannabis Seizure
Garda in Co Galway have arrested two men following the seizure of cannabis with an estimate value of €400,000. Officers from the National Drugs Unit carried out a search of a private residence in Tuam, Co Galway, at around 17:00 on Tuesday, uncovering 20kg of the drug. Two men, aged 49 and 41, were arrested at the scene.

Cannabis with an estimated street value of €900,000 has been seized in separate raids in Limerick, Wexford and Cavan. The Co Limerick search, carried out in an open area at Ballyhahill, Glin, uncovered approximately €400,000 of the drug. No arrests were made and investigations are ongoing.
