19-Year-Old Pleads Guilty To Sexual Assault Of Two-Year-Old

A 19-year-old man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a two-year-old toddler.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to two counts of the offence on dates unknown between December 9, 2011 and January 9, 2012.

The victim was only two years old at the time.

It is understood one of the sexual assaults occurred in a laneway and the other in a bedroom of the house where the little girl was living.

The man was arraigned and pleaded guilty to both charges.

Judge Carroll Moran remanded him in custody until March 8, when he will be sentenced.

A 30-year-old is to be sent forward for sentencing after pleading guilty to five charges of raping two young girls. The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been on remand at Castlerea Prison since October last year. The two girls, aged six and nine, went missing after attending a birthday party.

Cork Man Pleads Guilty To Killing Protected Red Deer
A 37-year-old Cork man has pleaded guilty to shooting a protected red deer stag and cutting it in half. Gardaí confirmed that Richard Cullinane, of Lisnacon, Kanturk, Co Cork, was traced after took the front half of the animal to a taxidermist as he wanted it monuted as a hunting trophy.

Man Pleads Guilty To Murder Of Catherine Gowling
A man has pleaded guilty for the murder of Irish vet Catherine Gowing. Ms Gowing, originally from Clonlee, was murdered in Wales in October 2012. Ms Gowing's body has never fully been recovered, however remains were found near her home in New Brighton. Clive Sharp, 46, pleaded guilty to her murder at Molt Crown Court today.
