285 Jobs To Go At Liberty Insurance

285 staff of Liberty Insurance, the company which took over Quinn, are to be made redundant.

The latest jobs cuts follow 900 redundancies made two years ago when Quinn was in administration.

At staff meetings today, workers were informed that 140 redundancies would be sought in Blanchardstown in Dublin, 75 in Cavan town and 70 in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh.

Approximately 500 people currently work in each location.

Currently the redundancies are voluntary but the company has not ruled out compulsory job losses.
