Homeless Man Found Dead In Tralee

A Polish man has been found dead in an unoccupied house in Tralee town centre, the second homeless person to die in Kerry in recent weeks.

Gardaí in Tralee are trying to trace the relatives Slawomir Marerewicz (59), who had been here for five years.

He was found slumped on the floor of the house at Ballymullen before lunchtime on Tuesday by workmen at the property to do some work.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and was identified by a social welfare card, a passport and a driving licence.

Polish police agencies have been asked to assist in seeking his relatives.

Man Dies In Co Kerry Road Crash
A man has died in a road crash in Co Kerry. It occurred at Dunrine at around 11.45pm last night. The victim, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene, and was the only occupant of the car. A post-mortem is to be carried out at Tralee General Hospital.

Tralee Houses Found With Highest Radon In Europe
The carcinogenic gas, radon, has been found in two houses in Tralee, Co Kerry, at record high levels. The two houses have the third and fourth highest measurements ever recorded in Europe, while Tralee and Castleisland have 15 of the 20 highest recorded measurements in Ireland.

Police in the United States are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an Irishman who was found in Alaska last week. Edward Byrnes, originally from Limerick, was found dead beneath a bridge in the city of Anchorage last Friday.

Appeal For Privacy Wexford Family Deaths
