Over 100 Arrests Made In Organised Crime Sweep
113 people have been arrested as part of an operation targeting organised crime.
Gardaí carried out some 236 planned searches across the country in relation to the investigation.
Around 4,200 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €3.5 million were seized at five grow houses in counties Cork, Meath, Wexford and Dublin yesterday.
The 113 people arrested so far as part of Operation Wireless are being held in a number of garda stations and are being questioned in relation to drug trafficking, robbery, possession of firearms and other related offences.

Minister For Cork Slams Cassells Report
A Fine Gael Front Bencher has called on the Government to honour the commitment given to Cork Airport and reject the Cassells report. The TD for Cork South Central, Simon Coveney, has spoken out over the controversial report, claiming the government is reneging on their promise that Cork Airport would open debt free.

Cassells Recommends Cork Pay Terminal Debts
Trouble-shooter and former trade union leader Peter Cassells has recommended that Cork Airport should pay a €100 million debt to end a dispute with Dublin Airport. Mr Cassells had been asked to mediate in a row between Dublin Airport and Cork Airport over who should pay the €220m bill for the new terminal building at Cork Airport.

Arrests Follow Dublin Drugs And Arms Seizure
A man and a woman have been arrested after a search in Dublin recovered a quantity of drugs and a loaded weapon. The planned operation, carried out by Gardaí in Finglas, culminated in a search of a house in the Casement area of West Finglas in Dublin at approximately 1pm on Thursday.

Four people have been arrested following searches on a number of properties in an investigation into dissident republican activity, RTÉ have reported. Houses in Drogheda, Navan and Castlebellingham were searched along with a commercial premises in Navan. A number of vehicles and a handgun were recovered in the planned operation.
