Man Dies In House Fire In Waterford
A man has died in a house fire at Roanmore Park In Waterford city yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the property at around 5am where the man, 51, was discovered lying on the floor in a front room.
A post mortem examination is to be carried out this morning.

Elderly Man Killed In Waterford House Fire
An elderly man has died following a house fire in Waterford city. Emergency services were called to the scene in Balleytruckle Court shortly before 5am on Saturday 31 August. The blaze was brought under control by fire crews however the man's body was located in the house. Gardaí say foul play is not currently suspected.

Man Arrested Over Fatal House Fire Released Without Charge
A man arrested in connection with a fatal house fire in Dublin has been released without charge. A 44-year-old man died in the blaze which happened at a property on Oakland's Terrace, Rathgar, at around 3am on Tuesday, 21 August. It is understood the man had escaped from the fire before returning inside and suffered critical injuries.

A 68-year-old man has died in a house fire in Co Louth. The man, who lived alone, was found in the sitting room of the house on Hand Street, Drogheda, Co Louth. It is understood that the fire is thought to have started in the kitchen of the house.

Journalist Ella Shanahan, has passed away in her County Waterford home. Ms Shanahan, 60, was the former London Editor of The Irish Times. She will also be remembered for her work in the RTÉ newsroom in the 1970s.
