Erin Gallagher's Sister Found Dead

The sister of Erin Gallagher, who committed suicide less than two months ago, has also died.

Shannon Gallagher, 15, passed away in Co Donegal last night.

It is believed she also died of suicide.

The County Donegal VEC, which runs Finn Valley College in Stranorlar which both girls attended, issued a statement which said their thoughts and prayers are with the Gallagher family at this sad time.

Erin, 13, was an alleged victim of online bullying.

The funeral of 13-year-old Erin Gallagher has taken place in Stranorlar, Donegal. It is claimed the teen took her own life after she was the victim of cyber-bullying. Her mother Lorraine, sister Shannon and brother Sean James followed the white coffin inside St Mary's Church.

Medical Checks Advised After Prostitute Tests Positive For HIV
After it emerged that a prostitute who had been operating in Letterkenny recently is HIV positive, anyone who has used the services of prostitutes in Co Donegal has been urged to seek medical attention. Supt Vincent O'Brien issued the advice following the disclosure at a court sitting yesterday.

Fewer Irish Teens Using Ask.fm Website
There has been a fall in the number of Irish teenagers using social networking website Ask.fm, according to a new survey. The research, which was carried out by anti-bullying service Bully4u.ie, found that of the 40% of nine to 12-year-olds that had used the site, only 8% were still found to be using it.
