Pensioner Dies In House Fire In Letterkenny
A pensioner has died in a house fire in Letterkenny, County Donegal.
Emergency services were called to the cottage in Glenkeogh at approximately 9.30pm last night.
A local doctor pronounced the 69-year-old dead at the scene and a coroner has been notified.
An investigation is currently being carried out.

Man Dies In Donegal Road Crash
A man has died in a road crash in Donegal. The collision, between a car and a lorry, occurred at Tullytrap on the main Letterkenny to Lifford Road, on Thursday, 04 August. The driver of the car was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital, however he later died from his injuries. A passenger in the vehicle is currently being treated in hospital.

Roads Claim More Lives
An investigation is under way into a fatal crash that happened in Co Donegal on Friday. Gardaí said an eight-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was struck by a van shortly after 5pm and was taken to Letterkenny where he later died. An 80-year-old man has also died when the van in which he was the sole occupant collided with a fence.

Garda Robert McCallion, the 29-year-Garda who was injured in an incident in Co Donegal last month has died in hospital. Garda McCallion from Swinford in Co Mayo, died shortly after 4pm yesterday afternoon surrounded by his family at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.

Man Stabbed As Youth 'Bumps' Into Him In Letterkenny
Gardaí are investigating a stabbing incident in Co Donegal, which left a man with a blade embedded in his side. According to reports, a man was walking on Port Road, Letterkenny, when he was "bumped into" by one of three "youths wearing hoodies".

Gardaí Seek Help Tracing Man Missing From Letterkenny
Gardaí in Letterkenny have appealed for help tracing a 26-year-old man who is missing from the area. Cian Langelaan was last seen on Wednesday 08 May as he left his residence carrying a backpack. He is described as approximately 5'8" tall, of thin build and with sandy coloured hair, which is believed to have been cut short in recent weeks.
