Investigations Continue Into Aggravated Burglary In Wicklow

An investigation is continuing in relation to an aggravated burglary in West Wicklow this morning.

Two males, armed with a hatchet and a knife, went into a Centra store in the town at around 7.30am.

Staff members were threatened and cash was demanded to be handed over.

They made off in a 08-registered Audi, which was being driven by a third man, with a four-figure sum.

Gardai at Baltinglass are asking witnesses to contact them on 059 648 1022.

The attack took place at approximately 8:30am on Thursday morning. The inmate, currently serving a four-year term for aggravated burglary, used an improvised weapon in the attack.

Man Due In Court Over Aggravated Burglary
A man in his mid 20s is due in court in relation to an aggravated burglary in Dublin. Gardaí investigations are ongoing into the incident at a residential property in Blanchardstown on Monday 02 December. The suspect is due before Blanchardstown District Court today, 06 December after his arrest on Thursday, charged with related offences.

80-Year-Old Man Injured During Aggravated Burglary
Gardaí in Malahide have issued an appeal for information following an aggravated burglary in Kettle's Lane, Swords, Co Dublin, on 29 July. Three men, believed to be carrying weapons, entered a house sometime between 3am and 4am on Friday, 29 July. They assaulted the homeowner, a man aged in his 80s, and demanded money.

Man To Appear In Court Over Aggravated Burglary In Longford
A 34-year-old man is to appear in court in Longford on Monday, 12 October, charged in connection with an aggravated burglary in Edgeworthstown on Saturday. Three men entered a property and threatened the occupants. The trio fled the scene, however one man was arrested by gardaí following the incident.
