NBRU Votes To Take Action If Bus Éireann Implements Proposed Cost Cuts

Members of the National Bus and Rail Union (NBRU) have voted to take industrial action against Bus Éireann if it implements proposed cost cuts.

The general secretary of the NBRU Michael Faherty said 92 per cent of members at the company voted in favour of industrial action.

Bus Éireann plans to implement the measures on Sunday.

The union said the company is implementing reductions in certain payments without agreement.

Mr Faherty said the NBRU, has said they cannot afford to accept the new conditions.
