RSA Issues Black Ice Warning
The Road Safety Authority (RSA) is alerting road users of very cold weather for the coming week with overnight temperatures falling as low as -4 degrees in parts of the country.
Temperatures fell between 0 and -3 degrees last night.
Widespread frost and icy patches will form as well as dense fog patches lingering in parts of the country this morning.
The outlook for the rest of the week remains cold with scattered outbreaks of light to persistent rain, highs of 5 to 9 degrees. The RSA is alerting road users of frost and icy patches forming overnight and asks motorists to be particularly aware of the risk of black ice on roads.

Man Dies In Overnight Road Crash
A man has died when his car collided with a van on the Rathbeale road in Swords, Dublin, around 02.30am on Wednesday morning. The man in his 40s was a passenger in the van. He died at the scene. The driver of the van and a second passenger are being treated in hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Gardaí Urge Safety Over Weather Warning
Gardaí have called on drivers to exercise safety as Met Eireann issue a weather warning for the coming week. The Met said Thursday night would be cold and breezy with further wintry showers of rain, hail or sleet and some snow on hills or mountains.

RSA Launch Irish Road Safety Week
Eight out of ten drivers know how to check their tyre pressure, however just one out of ten does this less than once a year, according to a survey by the Road Safety Authority (RSA). The RSA released the figures to mark the start of Irish Road Safety Week. The figures shows that 1 in 8 drivers (14%) have bought part-worn tyres in the past.

Temperatures To Reach 19 Degrees This Weekend
Temperatures are expected to reach 19 degrees in places this Saturday, 22 April, with good sunny spells expected across most of the weekend. According to Met Éireann, Friday will also see highs of 18 degrees in places towards the east of the country. While there will be light breezes all weekend, there will also be sunny spells throughout.
