Woman Dies In Dublin Crash

A woman has been killed following a collision in Dublin city centre.

The crash involved a car and two pedestrians on Abbey Street at approximately 12.30pm.

A male pedestrian suffered a minor injury to his leg.

The woman, in her 50s, was taken to the Mater Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

A man has been arrested and he is being detained at Store Street Garda Station.

Woman And Child Hit By Car While Walking On Dublin Street
A woman has been killed after being hit by a car as she pushed a pram along a Dublin street. Gardaí have reported that the woman in her 30s was killed and a child injured when they were hit by a car on the main Dublin Road into Balbriggan. The child is being treated at Temple Street Children's Hospital.

Elderly Woman Dies After Falling From Window
An elderly woman has died following a fall from a fourth floor window at an apartment complex in central Dublin. It is believed the woman was cleaning her windows at Avondale House on North Cumberland Street. She was pronounced dead at Mater Hospital. No other information on the woman has yet been released.

Arrests As Waxwork Heads Stolen From Museum
Gardaí have arrested two people on suspicion of stealing statues from the Wax Museum in Dublin. Three heads disappeared from the Westmoreland Street attraction on Wednesday 21 August. Two were later recovered by staff with assistance from members of the public, while the third was seized when gardaí stopped a man and a woman nearby.
