Body Discovered In Search For Missing Man
A body has been discovered in Co Wicklow by garda investigating the disappearance of Philip O'Toole.
The 33-year-old father-of-one has been missing for more than two weeks.
He was last seen on January 7 when he left his house in Arklow, his car was later found on Dargle Road in Bray.
A body was discovered just before 11.00 on Friday morning in a ravine at Trooperstown Wood, Rathdrum.
A convicted criminal Mr O-Toole was known to gardaí for his connections to drug gangs and involvement in serious crime.
He was the victim of a shooting two years ago and was aware his life was in danger.
Gardaí, acting on confidential information, began searching the woods this morning and found a fully-clothed body.
There were indications that the victim sustained serious injuries and may have been shot.
The area is now sealed-off pending the arrival of the Garda Technical Bureau and the Deputy State Pathologist.

Gardai have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in Bundoran, Co Donegal, this morning (25 April). The body, believed to be a man aged in his 60's or 70's, was found near the shore in the West End of the town. It is believed the body remains at the scene.

Man's Body Discovered At His Home In Co Cork
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man's body at a house in Douglas, Co Cork. It is understood that the body of a 66-year-old man was discovered in the hallway of his home, at Galway's Lane in Douglas, by his wife at about 8am this morning, Monday 02 July. Gardaí are treating the man's death as suspicious.

An investigation is underway following the discovery of a body in Galway city this morning. It is understood that the body of a 40-year-old local man was found at around 07:30 on Wednesday morning on Shop St. Gardaí have said that they do not believe the death to be suspicious.

Investigation Launched After Body Found In Carlow
The body of a woman has been found in a house in Carlow. Gardaí say that the body of a 37-year-old woman was discovered at a house in the Craigcullen area of Carlow at about 21:45 on Sunday. The body remains at the scene to allow for a forensic examination. The identity of the woman has not yet been released.
