Teen Sentenced To Life Following Fatal Stabbing
A 19-year-old has been sentenced to life in prison for fatally stabbing another teenager in Dublin two years ago.
Marcus Kirwin of Cooley Road, Driminagh, pleaded not guilty to the murder of David Byrne.
Mr Byrne sustained eight stab wounds to his back and one to the face.
Kirwin is believed to have lured his victim into a fatal ambush by sending text messages pretending to be a girl.
The jury unanimously delivered a guilty verdict at the Central Criminal Court.

Man Arrested Following Fatal Stabbing
A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Dublin on Monday. Shane O'Connor was found on the street in Donaghmede at around 7am. He later died in hospital. A man is his 20s is being held at Coolock garda station.

Gardai Investigate Fatal Stabbing
Gardai are appealing for information after a 22-year-old was fatally stabbed in Dublin on Monday morning. Shane O'Connor was discovered lying unconscious on St Donagh's Road in Donaghmede at around 7am yesterday. He died in hospital from his injuries. It is believed Mr O'Connor may have been lying injured for a number of hours.

Investigation Launched Into Fatal Stabbing
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of the body of man stabbed to death in the early hours of the morning in Ennis, Co Clare. It is understood that the victim is a Polish man (31) attending a party in the town. Gardaí say the man was stabbed a number of times at a house in Sandfield Mews.

Man Killed In Co Galway Road Collision
A man has been killed in a two-vehicle road crash in County Galway. The collision occurred at Cloonmore, Tuam, at 2.20am on Saturday. The 55-year-old man suffered fatal injuries when the car he was driving was struck by another vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
