UCD Students Face Disciplinary For Egging Taoiseach

Three University College Dublin (UCD) students who threw eggs at the Taoiseach, as he officially opened the student centre in the college on 29th November, will appear before a disciplinary committee today.

The eggs missed Taoiseach End Kenny, however UCD Vice-President for Students Martin was caught in the cross fire.

The trio they were protesting over fees and cuts to student grants face expulsion.

Students Vote For Smoke Free UCD
Students at University College Dublin have voted in favour of making the campus smoke free. The vote will not immediately result in a ban on smoking, but now allows for the UCD Students' Union to support a proposal by the university’s health promotion committee on a smoke free campus.

Memorial Service Held At UCD For Berkeley Victims
A memorial service has been held at University College Dublin for the six students that died when a balcony collapsed at an apartment complex in Berkeley, California, earlier this week. Three of the students were studying at UCD; Eimear Walsh and Lorcán Miller were studying medicine, and Niccolai Schuster was studying history and politics.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny Meets With French President Francois Hollande
The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has met with French President, Francois Hollande, to discuss a range of EU counter-terrorism measures and the impact of the UK's Brexit decision. During the meeting the Taoiseach reiterated the sympathy and solidarity of the Irish people with France in the wake of the attack in Nice on 14 July.
