Irishman Charged With Murder In Australia
A 32-year-old Irishman in Perth, western Australia, has been charged with the murder of Kenny Myler from Wexford.
Mr Meyler (21) suffered a stab wound to the neck in the Perth suburb of Scarborough on the afternoon of February 10th. Police attended the scene after receiving a call about a fight involving several men.
Mr Meyler died a week later at the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
Before Mr Meyler’s death, Vincent Martin Crowe was initially charged with intent to do grievous bodily harm. Following the results of a post-mortem this was upgraded to a charge of murder yesterday at Perth magistrate’s court.

On-Duty Firefighter Arrested On Suspicion Of Drink Driving
A fireman has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving while on duty behind the wheel of a fire engine. The man was driving a fire truck on the Callan Road, Kilkenny over the weekend and approached a checkpoint. It is believed he was returning from an emergency incident and failed a breath test. He was issued a fixed charged penalty notice.

Taxi Driver Charged After Death Of Irishman
A taxi driver in connection with a fatal incident in Perth has been charged after an Irishman was killed. Ryan Doyle, 25, from Leitrim, was found lying on a road in the suburb of Belmont in the early hours of yesterday morning. Mr Doyle died from his injuries in hospital.
