Bodies Of A Man And His Daughter Found On Co Cork Beach
The bodies of a man and his three-year-old daughter have been found on a beach n west Cork.
Gardai received a call from a farm at Foilnamuck, Ballydehob, just before midnight.
A major search operation was launched and the bodies were recovered after a three-hour search.
Officers carried out a search of the farmland, and it was later extended to Audley Cove and Audley Bay.
The body of the child was recovered at approximately 1.50am at Audley Cove.
Her fathers body was discovered close by.
Post mortem examinations are to be carried out at Cork University Hospital, where the bodies were removed.
Gardai are currently investigating.

An inquest is being held to try and established the cause of the deaths of a father and daughter in west Cork last March. The bodies of 50-year-old Martin McCarthy and his three-year-old daughter Clarissa were recovered from the sea near their home at Audley Cove outside Ballydehob.

Naval Divers Recover Two Bodies For Cork City River
Naval Service divers have recovered the bodies of a man and a woman from the River Lee in Cork City. A search of the river was carried out after a woman in her 20s and a man in his 40s were reported missing on 04 December. Their deaths are not being treated as suspicious. Post-mortems are due to be carried out today.

Search For Missing Man Resumes
The search for a man missing following a drowning incident in west Cork has resumed. Two people's bodies were recovered during the search close to the Beacon at Baltimore Harbour on Tuesday evening. The victims have been named as Barry Ryan and Niamh O'Connor.

Bodies Pulled From Sunken Trawler
The search for missing fishermen off the west Cork coast continues after two bodies were recovered two bodies today. The body of Egyptian fisherman Attea Shaban, 26, was pulled from the Tit Bonhomme by Garda divers at around 9.45am this morning.

Their bodies were recovered from the sea in west Cork close to their home, following an extensive search on Wednesday.
