Dublin 8 To Get New Multi-Denominational School

The Department of Education has approved a new multi-denominational primary school in Dublin city, which will open in September.

Educate Together, which will run the school in the Dublin 8 area, has welcomed the development, saying that the demand for Educate Together places has been particularly acute in the city and existing schools are heavily oversubscribed.

The site of the new school is still to be finalised, with Department of Education efforts to secure a building from a trust that controls Christian Brothers schools are ongoing.
