20 Ministers Leave Ireland For St Patrick's Day

20 ministers will be flying off to various parts of the world for St Patrick’s Day, leaving Finance Minister Michael Noonan to mind the country.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore, and four other ministers, will be in the US.

Mr Gilmore said the Coalition was taking advantage of the great opportunity to promote Ireland around the national festival.

And Jobs Minister Richard Bruton said they would be keeping costs low: "We are keeping the size of the delegations down to a minimum. We are not flying first class or anything like that."
