40-Year-Old Woman Found Guilty Of Husbands Murder
A woman has been found guilty of murdering her husband three and a half years ago.
40-year-old Tanya Doyle of Pairc Gleann Trasna, Aylesbury stabbed Paul Byrne more than 60 times on 4 September 2009.
While she admitted killing Mr Byrne, Doyle pleaded not guilty to his murder.
After deliberating for six hours and 19 minutes a jury at the Central Criminal Court returned a unanimous verdict of guilty on the murder charge.
Mr Justice Garrett Sheehan sentenced Tanya Doyle to the mandatory term of life in prison.
It is understood that while the couple had separated eight years earlier Doyle often came back to the house to stay over.

Dundon, 31, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for ordering the killing that led to Mr Geoghegan being shot five times as he walked home almost five years ago. The gunman, Barry Doyle, was jailed for life in February 2012.

An Australian man has been jailed for 18-and-a-half years for the murder of Irishman David Greene in Melbourne last year. 31-year-old Luke James Wentholt pleaded guilty to the murder of Mr Greene (30), of Cabinteely, Dublin, who died one month after being attacked in August 2012 at a boarding house.
