Two In Court Over Weekend Cocaine Seizure
A man and a woman have appeared in court charged in connection with a weekend seizure of 1kg of cocaine in Cork.
56-year-old Padraig Gavin and 22-year-old Jennifer Heaphy were charged with possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine for sale or supply at Sallybrook, Glanmire, Co Cork on 23 March.
Mr Gavin, from Rockville Crescent, Blackrock in Co Dublin, who did not apply for bail, was remanded in custody to appear again before the district court on Tuesday.
Gardaí did not object to bail for Ms Heaphy from Kerryhall Road, Fairhill, in Cork.
Judge Kelleher remanded her on her own bond to also appear at the district court next Tuesday.

Man Arrested Over €100m Cocaine Investigation
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a €100m cocaine seizure off the coast of Cork last week. The man handed himself in at a police station in Leeds on Sunday night. He has been arrested by the UK National Crime Agency. Three people were charged at a special district court on Friday.

Two Men Charged Over Cork Murder
A second man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Cork man Brian McKee at the weekend. Mr McKee, a father-of-two from Ballinure Avenue in Mahon, was found unconscious at St Michael's Road in the early hours of Saturday morning. He had suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest. He was taken to hospital but later died.
