Croke Park Audit Finds Female Jobs At Risk
The former head of the Equality Authority Niall Crowley has said that the extension proposals to the Croke Park agreement could force female State employees to quit their jobs.
Carrying out an equality audit Mr Cowley found that the proposals would disproportionately affect women workers and those with family or caring responsibilities.
Mr Crowley’s audit was commissioned by unions campaigning for a No vote.
He raised particular concern about proposed changes to flexible working arrangements, work sharing, redeployment, and continuing reductions in head count, saying that women are far more likely than men to take up flexible working to reconcile work and family life.
