Three Arrested Over Knife-Point Hold-Ups
Three people have been arrested in connection with a spate of knife-point robberies in Dublin.
Two women and a man were detained by garda during a planned operation in Blanchardstown, west Dublin.
The three are being questioned about robberies in three shops in the area over the past two weeks, in which shopkeepers were threatened with knives.
It is understood that the man and one woman are in their 20s, while the second woman is in her late 30s.
They are being held at Blanchardstown Garda Station.

A judge has suspended the final three years of a man's 12-year rape sentence on condition he completes a Leaving Cert. 36-year-old Gerard Kane, formerly of Dominic Street in Dún Laoghaire in Dublin, twice raped a woman after breaking into her home in June 2011.

160 jobs will be lost following the announcement of meat processing company Olhausen that it is to close its three plants in Dublin and Monaghan. More than 100 of those employees work at the company's headquarters in Blanchardstown. The Olhausen company has been operating in Ireland for over 100 years.

Man Being Question Over Dublin Death
A man is still being questioned in connection with the death of a 46-year-old woman in Dublin on Tuesday. The mother of three was found with stab wounds at a house in La Verna Dale in Castlerock in west Dublin yesterday morning and she was admitted to hospital where she later died. The woman had three children aged nine, six and three-years-old.
