Man Dies In Industrial Accident In Co Wexford

A man has been killed in an industrial accident as a plant hire facility in Co Wexford.

It is understood the accident happened just before 18:00 on Wednesday evening, at the facility in Fethard-on-Sea.

The victim, a 48-year-old man, was pronounced dead at Waterford Regional Hospital.

A post-mortem examination is expected to take place today (Thursday).

Man And Woman Rescued From Island After Boating Accident
Rescuers have found two people alive and recovered the body of a third off the coast of west Cork. It is understood that that two men and a woman left Schull harbour on a yacht on Wednesday afternoon but failed to return later that evening as expected. An air and sea rescue operation was launched to search for the yacht.

Missing Man Body Recovered From Lake
The body of missing Crossmaglen man Padraig Campbell has been found. The 37-year-old’s body was recovered from a lake in Co Monaghon last night. Campbell, of Drumbroy Road, Castleblaney, has been missing from the 18 March. Gardai have described his death as a tragic accident, however a post-mortem will be carried out.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Accident
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of a fatal road accident in Co Kerry. A 24-year-old man died when the car he was driving hit a wall on the N69 Tralee-Listowel Road in Glenballyma in Tralee. The accident happened at about 21:45 on Saturday. A post-mortem is due to be carried out today.

26-Year-Old Man Killed In Farming Accident
A man has been killed in a farming accident in Knockea, Co Cork. According to reports the 26-year-old man was found trapped under a trailer at around 12:45am. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation into the death has been launched by the Health and Safety Authority.
