Property Tax Bill For Entire Barracks Sent To Soldier
A solider has received a property tax bill for his entire Dublin barracks.
It is understood the bill address to the soldier listed his as the “owner or person liable” for the tax owed on Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin.
The Irish Times have reported that a photo of the bill, published on a private social media account, has since gone viral.
The paper also reported that the Revenue admitted some letters were sent in error.
“It is stated in the local property tax letter that, if you are not the owner of the property, you should contact Revenue on 1890-200255 so that we can correct our records.” it said.

No More Income Tax Hikes, Claims Lenihan
The Finance Minister Brian Lenihan has said there will be no further income tax increases this year. The vow comes only a month after the Government doubled the income levies in the emergency budget. Despite the assurances, Mr Lenihan has confirmed that a property tax and a carbon tax were being considered.

FF Slams Govt's Mishandling Of Property Tax
Fianna Fáil Dublin Spokesperson and Leader in the Seanad Darragh O'Brien has hit out at the Government's mishandling of the entire property tax issue and called on Fine Gael and Labour to shelve the proposal until concrete steps are taken to ease the country's mortgage arrear crisis and we see jobs and economic growth returned.
