Man Dies In Overnight Road Crash

A man has died when his car collided with a van on the Rathbeale road in Swords, Dublin, around 02.30am on Wednesday morning.

The man in his 40s was a passenger in the van. He died at the scene.

The driver of the van and a second passenger are being treated in hospital.

Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The driver of the car was not injured.

A man in his 30s has died following a collision in County Galway. The two-vehicle collision occurred shortly after 1am on Monday morning, 02 September. A car and a van were involved, with the driver of the car pronounced dead at the scene. The road has been closed to allow a technical examination to be carried out.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Galway Accident
Gardaí are appealing to witnesses of a fatal road accident in Galway on Tuesday night. A 60-year-old man died after his car hit a wall in the Liosban Industrial Estate at about 22:00. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. The victim was pronounced dead at University College Hospital Galway.

Man Arrested Over Cash-In-Transit Van Robbery
Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man in connection with a cash-in-transit van robbery early on Friday morning. It is understood that a number of armed men held up the van at about 07:40am on Cork Street in Dublin, making off with a sum of money.

Two Arrested In Connection With Cash-In-Transit Van Robbery
Two men have been arrested in connection with a cash-in-transit van robbery in Dublin. The men, aged in their 20s and 60s, have been detained by Gardai in connection with the incident which happened on Fortunestown Way last October. Both men are being held at Tallaght Garda Station where they can be questioned for up to 72 hours.
