Renewed Appeal In Relation To Co Donegal Shooting

Gardaí in Letterkenny are renewing their appeal in relation to a shooting which took place at Legnatraw St. Johnston, Co. Donegal on 1st May 2012.

On Tuesday 1st May 2012 between the hours of 10pm and 10.30pm, two men entered a house at Legnatraw and shot the male occupant, 30. The injured man was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital for his injuries, which were not life threatening.

Anyone who may have any information in relation to the shooting, is asked to contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.

Man Injured In Shooting Incident
A man has been injured in a shooting incident in Letterkenny, Co Donegal. It is believed two armed masked men entered at house at Legnatraw and shot a 39-year-old man at around 10.30pm last night. The victim was taken to Letterkenny General hospital where his condition is described as not life threatening.

Man Dies In Donegal Road Crash
A man has died in a road crash in Donegal. The collision, between a car and a lorry, occurred at Tullytrap on the main Letterkenny to Lifford Road, on Thursday, 04 August. The driver of the car was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital, however he later died from his injuries. A passenger in the vehicle is currently being treated in hospital.

Denis Donaldson Murder: Man Arrested
Gardaí have arrested a man, aged in his 40s, in connection with the murder of Denis Donaldson. Mr Donaldson, who was a senior Sinn Féin official, was shot at his cottage near Glenties in Co Donegal in April 2006. He was previously exposed as an MI5 agent. The suspect has been detained at Letterkenny Garda Station.

The Garda Commissioner Fachtna Murphy has condemned a shooting incident, which resulted in the injury of a Garda this morning in Dublin. The incident occurred on Greenfort Close, Clondalkin, Dublin at approximately 1.15am.

Arrest Follows Second Murder
There has been an arrest this morning after a bread delivery man was shot dead at a petrol station on the Ennis Road in Limerick. A 29-year-old man has been held in connection with the murder of the delivery man - believed to have been in his 30s.
