Four Men Arrested In Connection With Burglaries

Gardai have arrested four men as part of an ongoing operation targeting organised criminal groups involved in burglary.

On Tuesday Garda recovered house breaking implements in a car which was stopped near Tullamore.

The men, all aged in there late teens, are currently being detained at Tullamore Garda Station.

Gardai Investigate Two More Aggravated Burglaries In Co Donegal
Gardaí in Co Donegal are investigating to more separate aggravated burglaries carried out against elderly people. Five men called to the home of a man in his 60s at Linsfort, Buncrana, at about 7.30pm on Tuesday night. They forced their way into the house and demanded cash. The man was assaulted and sustained minor injuries.

Over €2m Worth Of Drugs Seized In Dublin
More than €2 million worth of drugs have been seized by Gardaí in Donaghmede, Dublin. Cannabis resin, cannabis herb and cocaine, worth and estimated €2.1 million were seized as part of an operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in North Dublin.

Two Arrested In Connection To Spate Of Burglaries In Mayo
Two 19-year-old men have been arrested on suspicion of a number of burglaries over the last few weeks in the Mayo area. The men were arrested in the vicinity of Knockmore village, Mayo, on Sunday morning. Both males were detained under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Woman Charged Over Fatal Fire In Cork
A woman has been charged in connection with a fatal fire in Mallow, Cork, in March, 2013. Two men died in a fire at an apartment at Granary Court on 13 March, 2014. The woman was arrested on Monday and brought to Mallow Garda Station where she was charged.

Three In Court Following Tipperary Attack
Three of the five men arrested in relation to the shooting and stabbing of two men in Tipperary yesterday are appearing in Roscrea District Court this Thursday morning. The other two men were released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions regarding their detentions.
