Teen Dies In Road Accident

A teenager has died after she was struck by a car while she was out for a walk with a pal in Galway on Wednesday night.

The accident occurred at around 9.45pm in Ros a' Mhíl.

The 15-year-old girl was taken to University College Hospital in Galway, where she was later pronounced dead.

Her friend and the driver of the car were not injured.

The road remains closed and diversions are in place.

Gardai are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Woman, 82, Dies In Road Accident
An 82-year-old woman has died following a road accident in Donegal. The crash occurred at around 3.50pm on Monday (18 August) at The Ross in Bundoran. Gardaí have said a car collided with a fence in the incident. The woman was transferred to Sligo Hospital but later died from her injuries. Anyone with information is asked to contact Gardaí.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Accident Near Mallow
Gardaí in Mallow have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road accident near the town. A man died and two others were seriously injured in a two-car collision on the N20 between Buttevant and Mallow at about 18:40 on Monday.

Road Deaths Rise - Again
The weekend road toll has risen further after a teenager died in the latest car accident. It happened early this morning at Newcastle West where gardaí are investigating the single vehicle fatal road traffic collision on the Listowel Road outside of Abbeyfeale, Co Limerick at approximately 4am this morning (Tuesday).

Woman Seriously Injured In Three-Car Accident
A woman has been seriously injured following a three-car collision on the N4 Dublin/Sligo Road. The crash occurred on the Edgeworth Road at approximately 5.30pm on Wednesday (7 January). The woman is currently being treated at Midland Regional Hospital. The main Dublin/Sligo Road has been closed and diversions are in place.
