Work To Begin On 10 Year Old Cycle Route Plan
A decade on since planning began, work on a Sutton to Sandycove off road cycleway around Dublin Bay is to get underway.
The new route will be a continuous 22km off-road cycle route, and once complete will be one of the longest coastal promenades in Europe.
Construction plans for stage one will be presented to Dublin City Councillors on Monday evening.

Work Begins On Tallaght To Ballyboden Cycle Route
Construction has begun on the first phase of the Tallaght to Ballyboden cycle route, with Mayor of Dublin South, Dermot Looney, carrying out the official sod turning ceremony. Funded by the National Transport Authority, the cycle route is part of a wider network of new high quality cycle ways proposed throughout the Dublin region.

NTA Pledged Over €3m For Cycle Scheme
The National Transport Authority has pledged almost €3.5m to Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council as part of theN Sustainable Transport Measures Grants (STMG) programme. It is understood that the allocated money will be used for over 30 projects in the Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown area, including improvements to a number of cycle routes.

Funding Announced For Sustainable Transport In Dublin
Dublin North East Labour T.D., and Oireachtas Transport Committee member, Seán Kenny, today welcomed the provision of almost €23 million in funding for the National Transport Authority for Dublin City Council under the Sustainable Transport Investment Programme, with just over €4 million going to the Fingal Council area.

'Missing Link' In Dublin Bay Cycle Path To Be Completed
The Department of Transport has confirmed the allocation of €1.5m for new work to begin on the Dublin Bay cycle path. More than a decade since the cycle route was first planned, work will begin in April on the "missing link" section of path between Wooden Bridge and Causeway Road in Clontarf.
