41-Year-Old Man Denies Co Clare Murder
The trial of a 41-year-man, charged with the murder of a Co Clare woman two years ago, goes on trial tomorrow following the swearing of the jury today (Tuesday).
Colm Deely of School Road in Ballyvaughan denies murdering Deirdre McCarthy (43) between 11pm on March 27, 2011 and noon the following day, March 28.
The trial is expected to last up to three weeks.

A 34-year-old man is due to appear before Dundalk District Court this morning charged in connection with a double murder in March 2012. The suspected was arrested when he was returned to Ireland following his extradition from Spain in April this year.

The Michaela McAreavey murder trail, being held in Mauritius, is entering it’s fifth week. Today's proceedings are expected to involve discussion about CCTV images from the Legends Hotel reception area taken on the day that Mrs McAreavey was murdered.
