Body Discovered Near River Shannon In Limerick
An investigation has been launched in Limerick City after the discovery of a woman’s body near the banks of the river Shannon.
According to the Irish Times, a man out walking his dog found the body and alerted the fire brigade around 09:30 on Monday morning.
The body was partially clothed and is thought to be that of a woman in her 40s. It was found near the water in the area known as Donellan’s field at New Road, Kileely.
A forensic examination of the scene is underway and garda are investigation the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body.

Body Found In Co Donegal
Gardai have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in Bundoran, Co Donegal, this morning (25 April). The body, believed to be a man aged in his 60's or 70's, was found near the shore in the West End of the town. It is believed the body remains at the scene.

Gardaí have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body in an apartment in Galway City. It is understood that the man's body was found by his flatmate on Monday. According to reports, the dead man is believed to be a 23-year-old from Tullamore in Co Offaly who was studying in Galway City.

Investigation Launched After Body Found In Carlow
The body of a woman has been found in a house in Carlow. Gardaí say that the body of a 37-year-old woman was discovered at a house in the Craigcullen area of Carlow at about 21:45 on Sunday. The body remains at the scene to allow for a forensic examination. The identity of the woman has not yet been released.

Murder Investigation Underway After Discovery Of Child's Body
Gardaí have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a 2-year-old boy's body at an apartment in South Dublin. It is understood officers found the body at about 15:00 on Thursday at an apartment in Ridge Hall, Ballybrack. The child was pronounced dead at the scene. According to reports the child had sustained stab wounds.
