Investment Firm Confirms Purchase Of Xtra-vision Chain

A British investment firm may have saved some 800 jobs by buying struggling DVD rental chain, Xtra-vision.

Hilco, who also now own the Irish division of HMV, have confirmed a deal to pull the Xtra-vision out of receivership.

It has been reported that the deal will secure the chains immediate future but it is understood that Hilco have yet to decide a long-term plan for the home DVD rental company.

According to the Irish Independent, Hilco are reportedly in talks with landlords and suppliers ahead of making a decision on Xtra-vision's future.

Aldi Reach Settlement Agreement With Tesco
