Agreement Reached On 2013 Abortion Bill
The terms of the new Protection of Life during Pregnancy Bill 2013 have been agreed by the Cabinet.
Minister for health James Reilly will publish the legislation tonight (Wednesday).
It is understood that negotiations surrounding the Bill were difficult, but "constructive and coherent".
Some people opposed to the new Bill have branded Taoiseach Enda Kenny "a murderer", with the death of 20 million babies on his soul, RTÉ have reported.
It is claimed that he has been sent medals, scapulars, plastic foetuses, letters written in blood and telephone calls.
Full details on the new Bill will be published on Wednesday night.

Ahern To Halve 12-Year Bankruptcy Status
It could soon be possible to apply for shorter bankruptcy status under a new bill being put forward by the Minister for Justice. Currently, those adjudicated bankrupt must wait 12 years before applying for discharge but this may be halved to six years if the new bill is accepted.

Govt Publish New Paternity Bill
The government have marked Father's Day with the publication of the Paternity Bill, which will provide fathers with two weeks of paternity leave and two weeks of paternity benefit. The Bill was announced on Sunday, 19 June by the Minister for Social Protection Leo Varadkar and Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality, Frances Fitzgerald.

Govt Urged To End Political Appointments To Judiciary
The government has been urged to make sure it is the last to make political appointments to the judiciary. Sinn Féin Justice Spokesperson Pádraig Mac Lochlainn made the appeal today as the second stage of his Reform of Judicial Appointments Procedures Bill 2013 was debated in the Dáil.

The proposed Land and Conveyancing Reform (Amendment) Bill 2013 is to be debated at the Dáil. If enacted the Bill would substantially enhance legal protections for pressurised mortgage holders and make it harder for the banks to repossess homes.
