Unite Union Reject Haddington Road Pay Offer
The Haddington Road agreement, a revised government pay offer, has been rejected by the trade union, Unite.
72.6% of the unions members voted against the deal, which had been devised following the rejection of the Croke Park II deal.
It is understood that following this new rejection Unite's public sector representatives will meet to discuss the next steps to take.

The unheard-of prospect of a strike by staff at a British embassy is now looming in Dublin. Members of the Unite trade union have voted overwhelmingly in favour of taking industrial action at the British Embassy in Ballsbridge in Dublin.

Public dissatisfaction with the level of service offered by online deal sites has lead to the National Consumer Agency (NCA) launching a review of the services. According to research published by the agency this morning, 33% of people who bought something through an online deal site said they had a reason to be dissatisfied.
